1.    Complete your entire book and format your Table of Contents section.

Using Your Blog to Make Money With Amazon

Table of Contents:
What Is An Amazon Associated
Selecting Ads
Getting Those Links

I'm sure you have heard of affiliate marketing and you probably belong to and advertise for affiliates.  Amazon Associates is Amazon's affiliate marketing program.

When selecting ads for your blog keep in mind that you want to select items that are based on what your blog is about, or what you are selling.  If you are selling Samsung® Galaxy accessories, then  you don't want to select Amazon ads with Apple® iPhone products.

Amazon gives you tens of thousands of products that you can choose from, and I am almost sure that you can find several products that you can push.

2.    Next, you'll want to Highlight the Chapter/Section within the body of the book you with to Link.  You will start with Chapter/Section One and go through the Body of the book.

3.    Then you will click on the Insert Tab and Select Bookmarks.

4.    Then the Bookmark Dialog Box will open.  You will then type in the Name of the Chapter/Section that you have Highlighted.  Then select OK.

5.    You will go through the entire body of your book, repeating steps 2 – 4 until you have all of the Chapter/Section Headings Highlighted and Bookmarked.  You have to do each one, one-by-one.

6.    After you have bookmarked all of the Chapter/Section Headings within the body of your book, you now want to go to the Table Of Contents portion of your book and Highlight the First Chapter/Section Name that you want to Link.

7.    Now you want to click on the Insert Tab again and select Hyperlink.

8.    The Hyperlink Dialog Box will open.  In the middle of the box, there is the word Target, and off the the right of the word and the typing box, there is an icon of a Target, you'll click on that Target Icon.

9.    This step opens the Target Box.  From there you will click on the -/+ expand icon next to the word Bookmark.

10. Next, you will find the Chapter/Section Name that you have Highlighted and select that Name.

11. Now click on Apply, and you will see the Chapter/Section Name transfer to the Target Section within the Hyperlink Dialog Box.  Then click Apply and Close.  You will want to do this step for every Chapter/Section Name Title within your Table of Contents.

12. Repeat steps 6 – 11 until your entire book is linked.

13. Lastly, you'll want to check your work to make sure all of the sections are linked properly.

So, there it is, how to create a Linked Table of Contents with Apache® OpenOffice Writer.  OpenOffice is a great program for Writers because it offers tools that are far superior to Microsoft® Office.  Tools such as a built in PDF Exporter allows you to turn your finished work into a PDF Document within the OpenOffice program its self.

Money With Books -- One Day to Kindle Publishing Profits

Do you know that you can write, publish and earn money on books you write in one day!  Well its true, and people from all over the world are earning money doing just this.
1.  Like with any project, research is key to find out what topics are selling the best.  The New York Times Best Sellers list (http://www.nytimes.com/best-sellers-books) and Amazon.com are great places to start.  Jot down the catagory the best seller is selling in.

2.  For whatever topic you choose, use and check your facts.  I use Wikipedia.

3.  Everybody writes differently.  While some can write in order from head to page, I usually tend to develop an outline.

4.  Begin writing your book.  For a simple one day ebook, you will want to shoot for at least 20 pages but no more than 30 pages.

5.  After you have finished your masterpiece, have someone read over the book and do spelling and grammer checking.

6.  Now you get to create a cover.  I like to use GIMP Image Manipulator.  Amazon Kindle likes ebook covers that are at least 1600 x 2044 px in size.  You can make an easy cover by downloading an image that best suits your books subject and writing text over the photograph.  Then you'll want to save it in .JPEG or .PNG.

7.  Now you will want to write a summary for your ebook, choose tags (when choosing tags, pick some that are similar or the same as your best selling counterpart), and pick the ultimate selling catagory.  (see step 1)

8.  Now it is time to upload the book and the cover to Amazon Kindle (https://kdp.amazon.com/) and answer a few questions and set the price and in which countries you want your book sold.  You will want to choose a price.  I suggest $0.99 up to $1.09.

9.  Now, use social media to push your book.

Note: Typically, Amazon Kindle will tell you that it takes between 1 - 2 days for your book to be published, but normally it only takes a few hours.  If your book is based, or is an open source or public domain book or information, it will be rejected.

Now go write some money into your pockets!
